Definitions

"Service" refers to the Cooperius platform. "Institution" refers to the school that holds the relationship with Cooperius. "User" refers to any account holder — school staff, student or parent. "Content" refers to any document, assessment, message or other item created or uploaded to the Service.

About the service

Cooperius is a collaborative platform for school staff, students and parents. It brings together interactive boards, class spaces, assessment grids, educational materials, an emulation system and communication tools.

Eligibility and access conditions

Access to Cooperius is reserved for educational institutions and their members. Student accounts are created and managed exclusively by teaching staff — students cannot register directly. Parent accounts are created by invitation from a member of school staff.

Account creation and responsibility

You must provide accurate information when creating your account and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.

Content and intellectual property

Educational content you create or upload to Cooperius belongs to you. We make no claim of ownership over this content; you only grant us the license needed to host and display it as part of the Service.

Subscription and pricing

Cooperius offers a permanent Free tier, as well as paid tiers offered at no cost during our launch period. Terms and pricing will be communicated in advance, before any fees are introduced.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the platform for educational purposes and not to post illegal, offensive or policy-violating content. Teaching staff remain responsible for overseeing their students' use of the platform.

Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service accessible, but do not guarantee continuous or error-free availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to its accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you, for any cause related to the Service, is limited to the amounts you paid for its use in the preceding twelve (12) months.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account in the event of a breach of these terms, unlawful use, or to protect the security of the platform and its users.

Protection of personal information

Use of the Service is also governed by our privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

Cooperius reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and applicable federal laws of Canada.
