Your classroom, seen from above, on the board

A substitute who knows no one's name, a new group in September: a seating plan of your classroom on screen settles the question in a few minutes.

By the Cooperius team

Monday morning, 8:05. The person replacing you walks into a room they have never seen, facing twenty-six faces without names. They will spend the first period asking "And you, what's your name?" The students know it, and some of them make the most of it.

In September, you are the one in that situation, with a new group. It takes a few days before every name sticks to every face.

A seating plan rather than a list

A class list tells you who is in the class. A seating plan tells you where everyone sits. Projected on the board, it helps everyone:

  • whoever replaces you calls each student by name from the moment they arrive;
  • specialist teachers take attendance at a glance: an empty seat stands out right away;
  • you learn first names faster in September, because you see them in their seats;
  • students see where to sit when you change the layout.

Four small steps

Choose a floor, place the board and the door, add the desks from the illustration bank, then seat your students, each with their photo. Four small steps, and your seating plan is ready.

Give it a try

The guide walks you through every step, from the floor to the students in their seats. Allow a few minutes for a first version: you will fine-tune it over the weeks.
