Box calendar

Boxes laid on a background, opened one by one: an Advent calendar, an Easter hunt or one of your own.

In your classroom

A little appointment every day

You set twenty-four boxes on a Christmas background, or a kind act per day, and open the next one when you decide.

Each opening is a little appointment, and the board shows the road travelled.

A clue hunt

You hide a clue in each box, on a lawn background, and finish with a flip card: the mystery word.

The class searches together and waits eagerly for the next clue.

A review in boxes

You put a multiple-choice question in each box. The class answers, then you reveal the right answer.

Students review by playing, one question at a time.

A project in steps

You open a box at each step of the project: the instructions, a link, a video.

Students know where they stand and what is left to do.

Your way

  • BackgroundThe background colour shared by all widgets and, if you like, a picture from your library that covers the whole widget.
  • The boxesYou place each box where you want it, at the size you want, and you add, edit, duplicate or remove boxes. A box has a label (a date, a word, a number), a style (background and border) and content: text, image, animation, video, link, multiple-choice question or flip card.
  • Opening orderIt is the order of the boxes. From a box's menu, “earlier” or “later” changes it.
  • Highlight the next boxThe next box gently pulses. Turn it off if you want students to find the box to open on their own.
  • Start the calendar overAfter you confirm, all the boxes close again.

Good to know

  • The boxes open when you decide: the widget does not know dates, and a box's date is only its label.
  • You can open a box before students arrive to check it: a click on the last opened box closes it again.
  • The boxes open in order and stay open from one day to the next, even if you reload the screen.
