Weather

The weather where you are, on the board: the temperature, the feels-like, the day in parts and the days ahead.

In your classroom

At the classroom door

You display the weather on the welcome board.

Students see the weather and get ready for recess on their own.

Out or not, and why

You keep the afternoon tile on the screen.

You decide whether to go out, and they understand why.

The week before a trip

You project the next six days before a trip.

The class follows the forecast and learns to read it.

Real measurements, in science

You turn on the detailed view: wind, humidity, sun, air.

They connect real measurements to what they observe outside.

Good to know

  • The data comes from Environment and Climate Change Canada, and the widget says so. It updates by itself, with the time of the last observation.
  • The device's position is never requested without your action. It is only used to choose the location, and it is not kept.
  • The parts of the day follow the device's time, and the current part stays displayed until it ends.
  • If the weather cannot be obtained, the widget says so.
