Guided breathing

A bubble swells, holds and deflates: you guide a return to calm, with the word that says what to do.

In your classroom

After recess

The students come in wound up: you select the calm rhythm (breathe in 4 s, out 4 s) for a few cycles.

They calm down together, without you having to ask.

Before a task

Before a task, you start the square rhythm: breathe in, hold, breathe out, hold, four seconds each.

Students learn a gesture against stress that they can repeat on their own.

At the end of the day

To end the day, you pick the sleep rhythm: breathe in 4 s, hold 7 s, breathe out 8 s.

Students leave settled.

Your way

  • RhythmThree rhythms: calm (breathe in 4 s, out 4 s), square (in, hold, out, hold, 4 s each) or sleep (in 4 s, hold 7 s, out 8 s).
  • CyclesThe number of cycles, from 1 to 20. On the last one, the bubble deflates gently and says “Well done”.
  • CountdownShows or hides, under the word, the seconds left in the phase.

Good to know

  • When the device asks to reduce animations, the bubble does not change size: only the word and the countdown move on.
